Do you require your players to hold VNA?
No we do not require our players to hold a VNA membership!
Can a team join in competition mid season?
The simply answer is No. However in the case that we have a team pull out of a competition mid way through the season we may need to fill that spot to avoid byes and/or forfeits. So if you are interested in joining midway through the season, enquire using the register a team form and we will be in contact.
Do the game times change each week?
Yes, the game times are usually rostered at 6:30, 7:10, 7:50, 8:30, 9:10 and 9:50pm starts. We rotate the times as evenly as possible so everybody gets their fair share of early and late games. If your team struggles to make a certain time we can do our best to avoid those times however we cannot guarantee that you won’t have those game times.
What happens if we forfeit?
We want to discourage forfeited games as much as possible, however we understand in some circumstances teams have to forfeit their match. All team captains are sent confirmation text messages with 48 hours notice. If your team forfeit’s their match prior to 24 hour notice the is no additional punishment other than the match fee. However if teams forfeit within 24 hours of their playing time, teams will receive a $50 penalty and a loss of 2 points off their seasons total points.
Can we bring in fill ins?
Yes you can certainly bring in fill ins each week to top up your team! We have a big database of fill ins inside our facebook group that you are welcome to join too.
What do we need for uniform?
You simply have to be wearing matching top colours. For netball we suggest that you purchase a team set of bibs which will be available at the centre, alternatively you’re welcome to hire bibs for $10.
For futsal we suggest that you create you’re own jersey, if you look good you’ll play good. In case of a clash of jersey’s we can provide bibs, however if you are not matching your team can hire bibs bibs for $10.
Do I need shinguards?
Shinguards are recommended but not compulsory.
Do we need to supply anything?
Only a good attitude for social sport.
Do you have multiple divisions?
Yes we have a minimum of 2 division per competition. Divisions are based off previous seasons results and a 2 week grading period at the start of the season.
How do we pay?
We have 2 different payment options. Upfront of week to week. Both options are available at reception. Upfront Payments must be paid by the completion of grading matches. Week to Week payments are paid at the front desk before the match.
Do you have a heat policy?
At an Indoor Temperature of;
30-35 Netball will be reduced to 8 minute quarters & Futsal will be reduced to 16 minute halves
36-39 Netball will be reduced to 7 minute quarters & Futsal will be reduced to 14 minute halves
>39 All games will be cancelled
Do players need to provide their own insurance?
It is not compulsory to provide your own personal accident insurance to participate in our competitions, but please note Eastern Indoor does not provide personal accident insurance and players accept a 'play at own risk' policy during social sport competitions. Eastern Indoor holds public liability insurance as required, but players need to hold their own line of personal accident insurance if they wish to make an insurance claim on an injury sustained during social sport.
